I’ve never been a person particulalrly in love with ‘things’, my passions tend to be for places and experiences and people.
Travel has long been a major pleasure in my life and one that I hope to continue with into the future. If I were wealthier, i’d probably not get the Ferrari, but just be on almost constant holiday.
The combination of very fair skin and a low boredom threshold has meant that beach holidays have never really been my thing. I much prefer at least some kind of activity on my trips. My father took me on many walking holidays during my childhood and in all I think we did nine long distance fottpaths in the UK. This gave me a spirit of adventure and a love of wild places, particularly mountains.
Since then, i’ve been to several wonderful places including several trips to the US, parts of Spain and France as well as Egypt, Morrocco and best of all Namibia and Iceland. Now that i’ve got this blog I find it a shame that I didn’t record these previous trips as re-reading the entries is really interesting.
